River Rescue on Clifton Beck

Time: 11am - 3pm
Location: Wellholme Park, HD6 4AH

Help us ‘clean up Clifton Beck’ as part of the Great River Rescue.

The Great River Rescue is on!

Thames21, The Canal and River Trust, the Angling Trust, the Marine Conservation Society, the Rivers Trust and Keep Britain Tidy are all either organising clean-ups or pointing people towards them during the campaign in October.

Calder Rivers Trust is teaming up with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the HLF and EA funded ‘Improving Clifton Beck’s Water Project‘ to help make Clifton Beck sparkle like never before. We aim to get as many people as possible to join us down by the river on the 7th October (Saturday), from 11am to 3pm, and get stuck in clearing litter and fly tipping from within the beck and along the banks.

Yorkshire weather is forecast, so plan for everything: bring wet and warm weather gear, wellies and gloves if you have them (don’t forget to Check, Clean, Dry) if you plan on staying a while please bring your own snacks. The event team will provide all the equipment needed, and refreshments and the odd biscuit.
